PhyllisCARRIt is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis (Phyl) Elizabeth Carr at Old Norse Lodge on 24th November 2025, aged 91, after a long illness. Phyl spent most of her life in Kent, relocating to Lincolnshire in 2014. She was a prolific and experienced crafter, and a long-time member of the WI.
Loving wife of 66 years to the late Chris, Phyl is survived by daughters Lesley and Toni, sons-in-law Chris and Graham, grandchildren Michelle, Kit, and Richard, great-grandchildren Elijah, Christopher, Amelia, Freya, Benjamin, Valerie, Asher, and Theodore, sister and brother-in-law Pam and Mark.
Phyl's funeral will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Thursday 8th January 2026 at 12:00. Family members will be pleased to welcome all friends to the service. There is no dress code, but Phyl was always fond of bright colours. Family flowers only, but memorial donations may be sent to Water Aid, a donation box will be situated in the Gardens of Remembrance following the service
